Skundric: Serbia for energy cooperation with everybody in the region Print

08 March 2010.

Image Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy Supply Petar Skundric has pointed in the talks with Italian foreign Minister Franco Frattini that the common interest of Serbia and countries of the Adriatic-Balkan region is further strengthening of their friendly relations and cooperation. He assessed that the Agreement non Cooperation between Serbia and Italy in the field of energy supply represents the first step towards the realization of bilateral agreements in the sectors of renewable energy sources, electricity production, exploitation of the hydro potentials and development of the transfer network between the two countries. Previously, while participating in the international forum entitled “envisaged development of the Adriatic-Balkan region”, Skundric has stressed that the major gas line “Southern stream”, underground storing facilities, pan-European oil pipeline and cooperation in the field of energy supply are the projects that Serbia is especially interested for. This gathering in the Italian town of Goriza will end tomorrow.
