SEEMO condemns Kouchner’s conduct towards journalist in Kosovo Print

March 10, 2010

South East Europe Media Organization (SEEMO) has strongly condemned the way French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner insulted journalist of Voice of America Budimir Nicic, during Kouchner’s visit to Kosovo on March 2. In Gracanica, when asked to comment on the case of "yellow house", Kouchner replied saying Nicic should consult a physician. Conveying that Kouchner responded with an insult to a journalist who asked him to comment on the fact that he was accused by families of the kidnapped and murdered Serbs to have participated in the trade in human organs in Kosovo, SEEMO indicates that these accusations are stated in the book of former Hague chief prosecutor Carla del Ponte. SEEMO Secretary General Oliver Vujovic pointed in a statement that it is unacceptable for a government official to act in such an aggressive manner.
