Cvetkovic: Significant support of Poland to Serbia’s EU membership Print

Image In the talks with Deputy Prime Minister of Poland Waldemar Pawlak in Belgrade, Serbian Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic said that Serbia highly appreciates the support of Poland to the soonest possible beginning of the process of ratification of the Stabilization and Association Agreement between Serbia and the EU and to Serbia’s acquiring the status of the EU candidate member. Cvetkovic reminded that with the filing the application to obtain a candidate status for the EU membership, Serbia confirmed the strong commitment for European future, the Serbian government communicated. It was assessed that it is necessary to further enhance economic cooperation between the two countries in terms of increasing the volume of foreign trade and investments. Pawlak also had talks with Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Bozidar Djelic.
