18 February 2009. 13:15
Last night, Serbs Jovica Miric and brothers Ivan and Igor Trajkovic were beaten in Lipljan, central Kosmet, the Tanjug finds out in that town. The three Serb youths were attacked by group of Albanians with sticks, in front of the Miric residence, thus inflicting injuries on them. The youths received medical care in the hospital in Gracanica. TANJUG reports that on the previous night the church souvenir shop was demolished in the church yard in Lipljan. At the same time, 24 years-old Vasko Arsic was wounded near Gnjilan, in eastern Kosmet, and was taken to a hospital with a bullet in his foot. In the village of Brod, near Strpce, in southern Kosmet, the Albanian flag was put on a Serbian orthodox church, but was removed by the police. The eparchy of Raska and Prizren has communicated that lines of Albanians were passing yesterday through Gracanica with the Albanian flags, therefore provoking civilians and priests.
