Six Serbs injured in a fight with Albanians |

September 02, 2009  Six young Serbs were lightly injured last night in a fight with Albanians in Mikro naselje, northern Kosovska Mitrovica. They were admitted to hospital and then discharged. The spokesperson of the Kosovo Police Service, Besim Hoti, said that around 9.30 pm, Serbs and Albanians clashed in a sports field. The injured Serbs said they had been attacked and injured by the Albanians first in the field and then in the town itself. In Mikro naselje, one of the three multiethnic communities in northern Mitrovica, there have been no interethnic incidents so far and on the only sports area the young men of either nationality often play football and basketball together.
