Serbian President Boris Tadic said that the arrest of Hague fugitive Ratko Mladic is a great obligation for the Serbian state and its democracy and that, regardless of the demands of the EU and the Hague tribunal, Belgrade will arrest Mladic since he has been indicted for war crimes under domestic law. In his interview for the agency Ansa, on the eve of his visit to Italy scheduled for November 13, Tadic said that the arrest of Mladic is a condition for reconciliation between peoples of former Yugoslavia and establishment of a society based on law. Tadic assessed that deadlines for Mladic's arrest would be counterproductive. Mladic is blocking the whole political process of the completion of European integration, aimed at improving life of Serbian citizens, said Tadic. According to him, Serbia is doing everything to arrest Mladic and he will be arrested the moment when it is found. If he is in Serbia, it will be much easier, but Serbia will participate in all operations aimed at that, said Tadic.
