Dacic: Decision on visa liberalization on November 30 or December 1 Print

Image The final decision on visa liberalization for citizens of Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia should be made on November 30 or December 1, at a meeting of the Council of Interior and Justice Ministers of the EU. It is to take effect on December 19, Interior Minister Ivica Dacic  told Tanjug. At yesterday’s meeting of the EU Council Committee for the West Balkans and the Working Group for Visas in Brussels it was agreed progress had been reached in all the four fields essential for visa liberalization. There are no open-ended issues when Serbia is concerned, Dacic said. The draft decision should be adopted byu the European Parliament, then permanent EU representatives at an ambassadorial level will meet in Brussels and finally, the Council of Interior and Justice Ministers of the EU will sit.
