Tadic: Measures to ensure best conditions for Serbs in Kosovo Print

November 23, 2009

Serbian President Boris Tadic said that the Serbian Government and all ministries will take appropriate measures to ensure the best possible conditions for the Serbs in Kosovo, assessing that they were the most vulnerable people in Europe. The Government will analyze the new situation and secure all conditions that the Serbs and Albanians have a peaceful life, said Tadic after touring a military base "Jug" (South) near Bujanovac, which has been opened today. Speaking about the reaction of the state after the elections in Kosovo conducted by illegal provisional institutions, he said that Belgrade will not make any step that would imply recognition of the illegal state of Kosovo. Tadic pointed out that the process is underway before the International Court of Justice in regard to the illegally proclaimed independence of Kosovo and added that Serbia believes in the international legal process and the ability of the ICJ, the highest judicial instance in the world, to make a proper decision.
