Cvetkovic: law implementing the process of decentralization |

 Serbian Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic has stated that the proposed law on establishing the competencies of Vojvodina harmonizes those competencies with Constitutional provisions, and thoroughly implements the decentralization and a concept of the provincial autonomy, but without elements of statehood. Cvetkovic specified in the Serbian assembly that three basic principles make the foundation of the proposed law – the need to expand the current competencies of Vojvodina; to make all proposed solutions in line with the Constitution; and to realize the decentralization without the elements of statehood. He added that the competencies over the property and financing issues will be regulated through separate laws.
