Patriarch Kirill: ROC supports Serbia in searching for a just solution |

November 27, 2009  Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill said that the Russian Orthodox Church will continue to support the efforts of the Serbian state and the Serbian Orthodox Church in seeking a just and balanced solution for Kosovo and Metohija. In his letter to President of the Association of Kosovo Municipalities Radovan Nicic, the Russian Patriarch pointed out that the Russian Orthodox Church will never leave without the help their brothers enduring difficult times in the land of their ancestors. With pain in our hearts, every time we receive the news of temptations to which the Serb population in Kosovo is exposed, said Patriarch Kirill and pointed that ancient churches and monasteries are being desecrated in the primordially Serbian territory.
