Serbian Unity Congress: ICJ disclaims responsibility on the Kosovo issue |
July 26, 2010
The Serbian Unity Congress, seated in Washington, DC, believes that with its opinion the ICJ has disclaimed any moral and legal responsibility on the Kosovo issue, which stand can result in much more serious consequences for the entire civilized world. The ICJ expressed an opinion on an issue to which it should not have given an answer in the first place – if the proclamation of independence of Kosovo is an infringement of the international law. The answer to this question does not resolve the essential issue to be resolved – if the secession was illegal and if it was in line with UN SC Resolution 1244, they say and add that it is irresponsible of the ICJ to reduce its role and responsibility in such a manner.
