LISTENERS’ MAILBOX

03. 08. 2008.

In the letters and e-mails coming to our address, listeners from all over the world write about the significance of our programme, broadcast on short waves, satellite and the Internet. We keep receiving words of praize, but also useful suggestions, which we are certain to take into account, in order to raise our programme’s quality even more. We finds your reports on signal reception very useful, in order to avoid technical disturbances in future. For those who ask for the programme schedule, we refer them to www.glassrbije.org, where they can read the schedule in Serbian and English. Our website also contains the history of our media house and all those who miss a broadcast can browse through our archives. Stay tuned.

Many letters from our listeners in Arab countries have arrived in the past seven days. The listeners praize our programme in the Arab language, as objective and varied. We thank those listeners who like to present to us the customs and sights of their countries. Thus Idris Boudina, Morrocco, writes about the architectural sights of the 3,600-year old town of Asila. Salim Al Saraja, of Iraq, writes about his country as one of the oldest world civilization and says he likes listening to original Serbian folk music and becoming acquainted with Serbian national customs.

Helmut Matt, from Germany, is a regular listener of our programme in the German language. He studied history, philosophy and German literature and is very interested in foreign cultures and languages. He would like to get in touch with our German language section in order that he should get to know Serbian culture and art even better. Our programme includes many features in culture and art in Serbia.

Mani Sankar Catri, India, enjoys learning as much as possible about Serbia, its culture, national customs and political event. He is grateful to us for being able to listen to our programme on the Internet as well when he is too busy to listen to it on short waves.

Artur Fernandes Llorella, Spain, just recently listened to our Spanish programme. He liked cultural features especially and would like to be sent a QSL card. We have just finished designing our new QSL cards and the first ones have been sent to the addresses our listeners mentioned in their letters.

To wind up this programme, we will invite you once again to write to us to the following address: Radio Serbia, Hilandarska 2, 11000 Belgrade, Serbia or to our e-mail address: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
